Rough Cut target audience feedback
In order to create the best final cut we can we have decided to carry out some audience research on our rough cut so we can make our final cut appeal more to our audience. We know our rough cut isn't how we want the rough cut to be like and plan to keep none of it as we aren't happy with our footage. So we asked a range of members of our target audience what we could improve about our video. Here are some things that they said:
Acting on target audience feedback
From our target audience feedback, we have decided to change the location of our performance to a more professional and bigger space so we are ale to use a wider range of equipment such as the crane to get some killer shots in our video.
Our target audience also said that we need to establish our narrative more, therefor we need to make the narrative more clear, such as having clips of other people discarding their masks, instead of juts the main protagonist.
Our target audience also said that we needed to change the location of our narrative, because filming inside a house isn't very professional, therefor we are going to choose to film our final cut in more picturesque outdoors locations, such as Newcastle Quayside and the Marina in North Shields.
Our target audience said that our band wasn't good enough for the final cut, as they didn't look to be taking it seriously and didn't look like a real band. Therefor, we are going to recruit a new band for our final cut.
Along with recruiting a new band, we are also going to ask a new actor to start in the final cut. Our target audience said that the students in the rough cut didn't look old enough, causing the video to have an unprofessional edge to them. We have therefor decided to ask around for an older looking male protagonist.
- Haven't used a range of locations
- Band doesn't look very professional as they don't know words and aren't playing instruments to the beat
- The location we have used (house) isn't very professional
- Actress doesn't look very good as doesn't really fit the indie genre
- Don't really understand the narrative
- Too much band performance in comparison to narrative
