Gorillaz advert
This advert uses a cartoon image to match the style of the 'virtual band'. We will use an image that links to the style and genre of our band and create a modern indie feel.
Unlike other adverts I have looked at, this poster doesn't use the bands typical logo for their name. However it does use the same font as is used on the corresponding album to create synergy between the products and this font also links to the word 'beach' in their album title. We will use the same font or logo on our digipack and advert to keep a strong brand throughout the entirety of the release.
Like other adverts, it has taken a very minimalist approach with most of the focus on the image and band name. This makes it very easy to see what is being advertised and makes it memorable. We will keep our advert simple as I think it gives it a more classy feel.
